Activity 3.2.1- Natural Resources Review
Here is my concept map for natural resources
(I posted the link so the image can be seen in better quality).
Based on the concept map that I created from the video that I watched, all of these connections are about natural resources. The definition of natural resources on my concept map is "Anything that people take from the environment and use" (Jerome, Exploring Natural Resources). Once I put that definition, I displayed two separate boxes, Non-Renewable resources and Renewable Resources.
These connect to the natural resources box because non-renewable and renewable are the two types of natural resources. The examples that I used for non-renewable resources were oil and natural gas. These two examples correlate to non-renewable resources because they are not quickly replaced by nature. Oil and natural gas can take millions of years, if that, to be replaced.
The examples I put for renewable resources were trees and water. These correlate to renewable resources because they are used every day by our population and can be replaced and reused pretty quickly. We use both of these for so many things in our daily lives. If these resources were not able to be replaced, then we would most likely not survive on earth for very long.
